I just got back late last night from my 10-day vacation in Costa Rica! I took more than 1000 photos, but I’ve uploaded only 25 to Flickr. Please take a look at them and tell me what you think. I shot everything originally in RAW format (the highest quality). Because of that, I needed 2×4 GB high-speed CompactFlash cards. But it was worth it, because the color is so vivid and there’s no compression! Thanks and enjoy!

Apple Certified
Yes, I am a total geek. I just passed the Mac OS X Support Essentials v10.4 exam, which is required for one to become an official Apple Certified Help Desk Specialist. I know I’m only 17, but this will help me with future employment (I can now work at the Genius Bar if I want to). The required passing grade was 60%, and I got 93%. This certification gives me more credibility for both my current and prospective clients (I have more than 30 now). On January 2, I’m taking a second Apple exam so that I can become an Apple Certified Desktop Technician. This will allow me to physically modify Apple desktops WITHOUT voiding the Apple warranty. Wish me luck!

New Web Hosting
Did you notice the switch? Didn’t think so… I just changed web hosts because my old one (HighWire PCs) is going out of business. My new host is Host Monster (http://www.hostmonster.com/). For a lower price, I get everything I got with my old host, plus more. And no, I’m not trying to sell you anything - I’m just happy the transition from server to server went so quickly and smoothly.
The Old World’s Tallest Buildings in 1884 (Pic)
Published in 1884, the diagram above shows the 77 tallest buildings of the old world (europe, asia and africa) at that time. Strangely, the 78th and tallest structure shown is from the new world: the Washington monument. The tallest of the old world was number 34, cologne cathedral, at 510ft.
